Ms. Carter is the School Career Information Advisor located in the Burnett Counselling Centre who offers an abundance of resources and support to students. Ms. Carter provides career and educational planning information and advice to students regarding post-secondary options and is here to support you throughout the entire process.
Ms. Carter will be at J.N. Burnett Secondary School on Mondays, Thursdays & alternate Wednesdays.

Upcoming Scholarships for Burnett Grade 12 Students
APR 16/25 Richmond Association for Montessori Scholarship 4PM Deadline
Richmond Association for Montessori Scholarship $500.00 Open to District Criteria:
Attended a Richmond District Montessori Program at Garden City, McKinney or Steves for a minimum of grades 4 through 7
Has demonstrated involvement in extracurricular activities and/or part-time work within the school and the community
Are graduating from a Richmond School District secondary school in June of 2025
Will pursue a post-secondary education and be registered in a post-secondary institution within 18 months of graduation (proof of registration will be required)
Is a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada and is ordinarily a permanent resident of Richmond • Complete application form
and 500-word statement describing how your Montessori education benefited your learning in secondary school and will help you in the years ahead.

APR 24/25 2025. CUPE 716 Scholarship 2:00 PM Deadline
This year we have a total of four (4) $1000 scholarships available for the children of CUPE 716 members: two for Academic, one for Trades, and one for Fine Arts. To be eligible for a CUPE 716 Scholarship, one of the applicant’s parents or legal guardian must be a member of CUPE Local 716
To apply, complete the application
and mail or deliver the completed form to the union office, together with
these two items only:
1. A sealed Diploma Verification Report (if the school is on MyEd) or a sealed transcript of marks and the most recent report card (if the school is not on MyEd)
2. A covering letter
Any other attachments will be disregarded
