  1. Please check the lost and found box outside of the school gym for any missing items.
  2. Are you interested in being a library monitor for Semester 2? If so, please come to the library after school on Monday, January 20, for a brief info session. The session will start at 3:15 and last about 10 minutes. Any questions? Please see Mrs. Riter!
  3. Got clothes you don’t need anymore? Give them a second life by donating to those in need! The Project Serve Club is hosting a clothing drive, and you can drop off your donations in the collection boxes around the school. Monetary contributions are also appreciated.
  4. Hey Breakers! Don’t forget to submit your superlative forms by January 20 and order your yearbook on SchoolCashOnline by February 14. You can find the forms on our Instagram Linktree @jnbyearbook2025. We can’t wait to see what you share!
  5. Attention Mathletes: Grades 8-11 students are eligible to write the University of Waterloo Pascal (Grade 9), Cayley (Grade 10), and Fermat (Grade 11) contests on February 26. If you are interested in signing up, please scan the QR code on the Math Club bulletin board next to Mr. Wong's classroom by January 24th at 3:00 PM. Once you have signed up, you will be contacted by Ms. Rodriguez to secure your spot by February 4, 2025.
  6. Attention Grads! Early bird tickets for Dry Grad are available until January 31st. Purchase your tickets by this date to be entered into a special $50 prize draw. Ticket prices increase on February 1st! Plus, all grads who attend Dry Grad will be entered into a $500 grand prize draw.   7. Our senior girls won against Boyd 64 to 42! Congratulations to our girls, they played hard and hustled their way to victory! Our MVP yesterday was Margaret Li, she scored 24 points and dominated in rebounds and blocks! Again, congratulations to our senior girls team!
  8. The Junior Girls Basketball team had a close game against Cambie in their first match of the Breaker tournament yesterday. Skyee Tam sank both of her free throws with 10 seconds left, securing a one-point win, 27-26. Game MVP was Isabelle Sin, who hit two big three-pointers. Come cheer on the Junior Girls today in the Wave Cave at 1 p.m. against North Delta, and at 5:30 p.m. against Kitsilano. Go Breakers!
  9. Peer tutors, there is a semester end meeting today at lunch in Room D199. See you there!
