1. The Student Council is excited to announce that our annual Breakers Winter Festival will be held on Friday, December 20th! Come enjoy a fun-filled morning with a free breakfast, music, dancing, and grade wars starting at 7:30 a.m. Admission is free for all Burnett students, and community members can join us with a canned food donation. 2. Do you have questions about educational programs or opportunities available to you in high school that can help prepare you for a future career in skilled trades, early childhood education, healthcare, and more? If so, join the Career Programs informal Q&A series this Wednesday after school from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Zoom. More information can be found on the Career Programs bulletin board located in or near your counselor's office.
3. Come to Maker Wednesday today, in the library at lunch to make holiday crafts and gifts, including ornaments, holiday cards, and bookmarks. Everyone is welcome!
4. Attention all students! There are 6 spots available for the Ski and Snowboard club. Please see Ms. Kozij as soon as possible to complete forms and secure your spot!
5. Yesterday, the Grade 9 boys' basketball team faced off against Cambie. It was a close game, but unfortunately, the boys lost by just a few points, with a final score of 51-59. They all did amazing during the game. Great job, boys!
6. Hey Breakers! Student vs teacher dodgeball is THIS Thursday in the Wave Cave at lunch! Come watch your fellow students play against your favourite teachers! The link to sign up is in the Athletic Councils Instagram bio. Hope to see you there!
7. Hey breakers! If you are wearing pink today, come down to the photo room (A125) to get your picture taken for spirit week wear!
8. JNB History and Artifacts club is having a meeting today in Ms. Kozij’s room D212 at lunch! The meeting will feature an interesting World War II related activity! Feel free to come and have fun!
9. Hey breakers! We loved the school spirit for today's spirit week! Don't forget that tomorrow's spirit week is 'Bring Anything But A Backpack' day! We can't wait to see what you can come up with!
