  1. All student athletes in any sports MUST complete an athletics consent form. See your coach or Ms Armstrong for details. You cannot play if you do not submit your form.
  2. If you signed up for the swim team please come to the mandatory meeting today after school in Ms. Armstrong’s room, B104.
  3. Senior Girls Volleyball can pick up their jerseys in Ms. Armstrong’s room, B104, at lunch today. Junior Girls Volleyball jersey pickup will be after school.
  4. Come support Breakers Athletics today! Senior Boys Soccer takes on the competition at Gateway Field at 3:30. Grade 8 Girls Volleyball plays their second game at 3:30 in the Wave Cave, followed by the Junior Girls Volleyball HOME OPENER at 5:00! Come fill the Wave Cave and cheer them on. Go Breakers!
  5. Grade 11 and Grade 12 Students are you interested in finding out all about KPU and transfer programs to UBC or SFU? Are you a little bit curious? Well now is your chance to be curious! A representative is coming to see you on Thursday October 1st at lunch in the Library Lab. Come along bring your lunch, ask question and find out if KPU is a great fit for you?
  6. A Reminder to Grade 8 students to please bring your signed Field Trip consent form for Grade 8 Day  to the office .
  7. Hello Grade 12 students. Are you planning to apply to the University of Toronto? Are you a student with exceptional academic achievement and volunteer involvement in the school and community? Would you like to be considered as the Burnett Secondary nominee for the University of Toronto Book Award, National Scholarship or Wolf Scholars’ Scholarship? Students must complete the digital external scholarship nomination form by October 1. A QR code link to this form will be available on the counselling office doors beginning September 24th. 
  8. Hello Breakers!! Athletic Council has been raising money for Terry Fox and we are over halfway to our goal of $1500, raising over $800 so far! Fun fact: if every student in the school donated just a single dollar, we’d smash our fundraising goal with a couple extra hundred dollars! We will be coming around class to class today to collect donations. If you want to see the entire Athletic Council exec team run Mr. G’s bootcamp, help us hit our goal!!   9. Hello Grade 12s. This is your reminder that if you are planning to apply to a post-secondary institution outside of Canada, you are required to speak with your counsellor before October 1st. If you intend on applying to the United States, you must create an account on the Common App and invite your counsellor by October 1st. Delaying may result in your counsellor being unable to complete references on your behalf.
