  1. Want to join our school swim team? Come see Ms Armstrong in Room B104 to sign up ASAP.
  2. All student athletes in any sports MUST complete an athletics consent form. See your coach or Ms Armstrong for details. You cannot play if you do not submit your form.
  3. Clubs’ day is happening on October 8th! Please submit your club application form before Friday September 25th.
  4. A Reminder to Grade 8 students to please bring your signed Field Trip consent form for Grade 8 Day  to the office .
  5. If anyone is interested in doing cross country this fall, come see Ms. Armstrong in Room B104.
  6. The Library is looking for monitors!  If you are interested in being a library monitor this semester there will be a short meeting starting at 3:05pm after school today in the library.  Please see Mrs. Riter for more information.
  7. Hey Breakers! Athletic Council will be coming around to your class today and next week to collect donations for the Terry Fox Foundation. If you forgot to bring cash that’s okay, as you can also donate on school cash online! Please help us reach our goal of $1500! We have currently raised over $200 and are nearing our next goal of making our exec Team dance in a tik tok during the Terry Fox Run! Make sure to check in on our Instagram @jnbathletics for updates!
  8. The Junior Girls Volleyball team is posted and there is a meeting in Ms. Armstrong’s room B104 at 3:15.
  9. Anyone who has not picked up their yearbook from last year, please pick it up from the Business Assistant by the end of the day, Thursday. Excess yearbooks will be returned to the printer after the end of the day on Thursday. Thank you. 
  10.  Hello Grade 12 students. Are you planning to apply to the University of Toronto? Are you a student with exceptional academic achievement and volunteer involvement in the school and community? Would you like to be considered as the Burnett Secondary nominee for the University of Toronto Book Award, National Scholarship or Wolf Scholars’ Scholarship? Students must complete the digital external scholarship nomination form by October 1. A QR code link to this form will be available on the counselling office doors beginning September 24th. 
  11. A reminder that tomorrow, Friday September 25th, is a professional day and there is no school for students.
