1. Grads and teachers, Valedictory Speaker nominations for the JNB Grad Class of 2025 are now open! We’re looking for three outstanding students to represent the graduating class as the Class Valedictorian, Class Poet, and Class Historian. If you know someone who can speak from the heart, inspire others, or share the story of your class, now’s the time to nominate them! Full details are available on the school website and our Instagram account.
2. Athletic Council is now selling tickets for the 2025 Athletic Banquet on June 5th! Tickets are $10 each in the cafeteria.
3. Attention students in Grades 10 to 12: A few spots have opened up for the Richmond RCMP Youth Academy happening from August 11 to 16. This is a great hands-on learning experience—check your email or visit the Counselling Centre for an application. The deadline to apply is 3:30 PM on Wednesday, May 28 at the local RCMP office.
4. A big congratulations to our Grade 8 Badminton Team for making it to the city finals against their longtime rivals, Steveston-London. It was a close battle, with four matches going to a deciding third set! Shoutout to our MVPs—Preston, Bohan, and Jay—for their amazing performance. Although the team didn’t come away with the win, we’re so proud of their hard work and strong play all season long!
