BREAKERS DAILY NEWS    

  1. Join us for the Terry Fox Run tomorrow during Block B! Throughout the week, Block D teachers will be collecting donations for cancer research from students. You can also donate through School Cash Online. Our goal is to raise $1,000. Let's make a difference together!
  2. Attention peer tutors: please attend an important meeting today at lunch in Room D199.
  3. Attention all Mathletes! If you're interested in participating in this year's CIMC and CSMC math contests, please scan the QR code on the Math Club's bulletin board located beside Ms. Haave's classroom in the math wing. The application deadline is October 1st, and the payment deadline is October 10th. Only paid participants will be registered for the contests, so don’t miss out!
  4. Attention all Grade 12s! Make sure to pay your fees on CashOnline for Winter Formal. The deadline to pay is November 6. Get ready for dancing, a photo booth, and making memories with the Grad Class of 2025!
  5. Registration for language challenge exams is now open. Please scan the QR code posted on the TV or by the counseling office. The deadline for registrations is October 26, 2024. Please see your counselor for more information.
  6. For Grades 11 & 12: Are you interested in the STRIVE KPU dual credit program? Applications are now open to register for a Sociology course at KPU. The application deadline is October 29. Please drop by the Counseling Centre for more info.
  7. Are you interested in a career in sustainability? There is a two-hour virtual mentorship session for girls and gender-diverse youth tonight from 6 to 8 PM. You will hear from a diverse panel of leaders working in sustainability! Please scan the QR code posted at the counseling office to register.
  8. The Grade 8 Girls Volleyball team participated in the Princess Margaret Secondary School tournament yesterday and went 2-1 in their first tournament of the year, defeating both the host team and North Delta Secondary. The MVPs were Becca Fung, Maria Aguilar, and Zera Lu. Fantastic job, Breakers!
