  1. Happy Mental Health Week Wednesday! Today we’re focusing on creativity and connection with an improv session in the library at lunch. No experience needed — just come ready to have fun, try something new, and connect with others. Everyone’s welcome!
  2. The Athletic Banquet is coming up on June 4th! Athletic Council will be selling tickets during lunch in front of the cafeteria, up until May 22nd. If you buy a ticket this week, you will be entered into a draw to win an Amazon gift card!
  3. Yesterday, our junior ultimate team played an amazing game against High Boyd, winning 12-3 in this first round of playoffs! They'll be off to the finals this Thursday in a match against MacNeill. Congratulations to spirit MVPs Athena and Terrence, and game MVPs Athena and Gavin!
  4. Attention students: Registration for Gr 12 full credit summer classes opens tonight at 7:00 PM!  These spots fill up quickly, so check the continuing education website to sign up.

These are your citizenship thoughts for the week. Today we are thinking about how we build connection in our school community.

Some questions to ask yourself:

Do I introduce myself to new students or do I mostly stick to my own group?

Do I look for students who are by themselves and invite them to join in activities?

Am I open to working with a variety of students in my classes?

Listen next week for more ways to think about citizenship.

And the winners of our weekly draw are:

Urijah Tiljoe, Ivanna Buriak, and Audrey Wang

These students all showed great examples of respect, responsibility and participation. Please come to the office to collect your prizes.
