Apr 29, 2026 Daily Announcements
- Next week is Mental Health Week, running May 4th to May 8th. This year’s theme is “Come Together, Canada,” focused on building connection and community. Join us all week at lunch for fun, low key activities like games, improv, a school wide TikTok dance, and a gratitude activity on Friday. Watch for us in the cafeteria, gym, and library — everyone’s welcome!
- Do you want to go to a live concert? On Monday, May 4th, the Music Program is auctioning off two sets of tickets: one pair for Louis Tomlinson from one direction and one pair for sold-out musician, Daniel Caesar. Starting bid is just $175 for 2 tickets. Concert doors open at 6:00 PM, and bidding runs all evening. Join us in Burnett’s large gym on May 4th — may the luck be with you!
- Any students in Grade 9 - 12 who are interested in a volunteer leadership opportunity in July with the Richmond Summer School program , please pick up a flyer at the office.
These are your citizenship thoughts for the week. Today we think about how we show responsibility to others and to ourselves.
Some questions to ask yourself:
- When I agree to do something, do I follow through with my word?
- If I'm not able to follow through, do I let the other person know as soon as I can so they can make other plans?
Am I responsible to myself by only saying yes to a task when I have the time and energy to follow through?
Listen next week for more ways to think about citizenship.
And the winners of our weekly draw are: Kevya Huang, Saoirse Mooney, and Soloman Rocha. These students all showed great examples of respect, responsibility and participation. Please come to the office to collect your prizes.
