  1. Are you interested in running for an executive position on the Student Council? Today is the last day to submit your application! Visit their Instagram page @jnbstuco or scan the QR code on election posters around the school to apply. Feel free to reach out to any of our current executive members if you have questions!
  2. Attention Grade 8s and 9s!
Get ready to jump — Jump Rope for Heart is here until May 9th! On Conference Day, we encourage all Grade 8s and 9s to help raise funds for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Check out the posters around the school to register, start fundraising, and earn prizes for every milestone you reach! Join us on Conference Day for a fun and active heart health event. Grab your ropes, bring your energy, and let’s jump our way to stronger hearts and a healthier future!
  3. Music Monday is on Monday, May 5th. Come enjoy a concert featuring various Burnett music programs, along with special guests from Cook Elementary. Entry is free. The concert starts at 6:30 p.m. in the large gym. There will be a concession on site as well as a silent auction — so bring your cash! We hope many of you can attend to support your friends in music.
  4. Hi everyone! Science Club is hosting AP exam study group sessions today in Mr. Yuen’s classroom after school. We can’t wait to see you there!

The science club is hosting a Burnett alumni panel with students from UBC, University of Toronto, and Waterloo to discuss and answer all your questions about planning for post-secondary education. Come by on Tuesday, May 6 during lunch at the library!
