BREAKERS DAILY NEWS        

  1. JNB Yearbook is hosting an information session today, during lunch in Ms. Carv's room (B109) to inform you what they do as a class and answer any questions you have. Don't forget to go if you are interested in becoming a part of this amazing team!
  2. There will be a music program info session this Wednesday at lunch in the music room D 195. Find out all the music department courses and clubs for next year.
  3. To all Grade 10/11/12 Students, are you interested in finding out more about what BCIT programs has to offer you? Join Big Info Night at BCIT today from 4–7 pm @ Burnaby campus. It's an opportunity for prospective students to get all their questions answered. Prospective students will also have a chance to win one of three prizes of $1,000 in tuition.   4. The Athletic council will be hosting our annual basketball all star game tomorrow at lunch. Come to the wave cave and show your breaker spirit! 
  5. There are Ultimate frisbee tryouts are today after school, 3:30pm @ Minoru gateway. Dress accordingly for the weather! We hope to see you there.
  6. Hey Ski Club! Today is our trip to the mountain! We are departing at 2:45 sharp. Please leave class accordingly to pick up your gear and get to the bus on time. Again, the bus will leave at 2:45 – please be on time. See Ms. Kozij or Ms. Meralli if you have any questions.
  7. To all grade 10 and 11 students, are you interested the career of Early Childhood Educator?  You and your parents are invited to join the virtual SD38 Career Programs info session on Zoom this Thursday, February 20th from 6:30-7:15pm.  Please see Ms. Carter or your counsellor for the zoom link. Come and hear about how to start your tuition-free training as an Early Childhood Education Assistant.
  8. If you are interested in applying for a school district dual credit program, please note that the deadline is coming up. Due March 4th is the Intro to Early Childhood Education Program application. Due March 11th are applications for: Manufacturing & Engineering Co-op; New KPU Biomedical & Health Science Program; KPU Intro to Health Science Summer Course. All applications are found on the SD38 Career Programs website.  Check the slat board near your counselling area for more details.
  9. Junior Jazz members, we will meet Thursday at lunch.
  10. GRADE 11 STUDENTS, Program Planning sessions will take place tomorrow at 8:30am in the theatre. Program planning sessions are extremely important in planning your pathway to graduation! We look forward to seeing you in the theatre.
  11. Attention all students, if you have any questions regarding program planning, please come to the computer lab today at lunch. Our counsellors will be there to help.
