BREAKERS DAILY NEWS    

  1. Tomorrow is Orange Shirt Day. We encourage staff and students to wear orange tomorrow and to focus on Reconciliation as we approach September 30th, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
  2. Attention all Mathletes! If you're interested in participating in this year's CIMC and CSMC math contests, please scan the QR code on the Math Club's bulletin board located beside Ms. Haave's classroom in the math wing. The application deadline is October 1st, and the payment deadline is October 10th. Only paid participants will be registered for the contests, so don’t miss out!
  3. Attention all Grade 12s! Make sure to pay your fees on CashOnline for Winter Formal. The deadline to pay is November 6. Get ready for dancing, a photo booth, and making memories with the Grad Class of 2025!
  4. Registration for language challenge exams is now open. Please scan the QR code posted on the TV or by the counseling office. The deadline for registrations is October 26, 2024. Please see your counselor for more information.
  5. Do you love theme parks? Are you fascinated by space exploration? Have you always wanted to meet an alligator? Great news! There are still 6 spots available for the 2025 Florida trip! If you are interested, please see Ms. Yonathan or Ms. Brodsky.
  6. Breakers, we’re so close! For the Terry Fox Foundation, we’ve raised $918.39! Go to the Athletic Council’s Instagram page to watch Margaret get dumped with ice water! All donors will be entered into a draw to win a t-shirt and lanyard, so donate now!
  7. The Grade 9 girls’ volleyball team played their home opener against Hugh Boyd, winning three sets to zero. The MVP of the game was Maggie Pi, earned for her impressive stats of six kills, two blocks, and three aces in yesterday’s match. Well done, Breakers!
  8. The Senior Boys Volleyball team played an away game at Elgin Park and had an intense match at their home opener! They brought the energy and fought hard, but Elgin won 3-1. The MVP was Ethan Lau.
