BREAKERS DAILY NEWS          

  1. Attention to All Graduating Students: there are many scholarships available to Burnett grads.  Any grade 12 student who would like to be considered for these scholarships must complete and submit the Online Scholarship Application Form by Monday, April 8, 2024. 
  2. Hey breakers! First Responders is selling first aid kits for their fundraiser! To order, please pay for your kit of choice on school cash online and we'll call you down when their ready for pickup at the office!
  3. Hey grads! It’s the last week before spring break! Get ready for your last ever high school 2 week break with spirit week!!! This week’s theme is versus. For Monday it’s country vs country club, Tuesday is mathlete vs athlete, Wednesday is a throw back to grade 8 with VSCO girl vs eboy, and to end spirit week off on Thursday we have kindergarten vs seniors. Dress up! Have fun! Show case your breaker spirit and tag us on instagram at jnbgrads2024.
  4. Hey Breakers! This is your LAST CHANCE to register your tickets to the Spring Fling Dance happening this Wednesday! Make sure to stop by at lunch in front of the cafeteria if you haven't done so already! Tickets to the event are FREE and there will be a live DJ at the dance! If you're craving some pizza, you can also pre order some for $2 a slice. We can't wait to see you there in your Spring picnic attire.
  5. Any grade 8, 9 or 10 students interested in playing Junior Ultimate this year - there will be a tryout in the small gym from 3-5pm today after school. Hope to see you there!
  6. Attention Jazz Band members, there is a mandatory meeting today at lunch in music room.
  7. Lost & Found items are displayed outside of the school office and gym hallway. Please take the time to look through them and claim before spring break. If you have lost airpods, phones or debit cards, please come inside the office and check. Any unclaimed items will be donated after spring break.
  8. Congratulations to the junior reach trivia team on a top 5 finish in this year’s provincial tournament! They had the highest score in the round-robin tournament. Great job!
  9. Congrats to the Physics Olympics team who competed against 76 teams from around the province this past weekend. Great work!
