BREAKERS DAILY NEWS          

1. Hey breakers! Do you have questions about educational programs or opportunities available to you while in high school that might help you to prepare for your future career?  If so, come join the Career Programs informal Q&A series today after school between 3:00 and 4:00pm on Zoom.  More information can be found on the Career Programs slat board near your counsellors' office.
2. There will be Table Tennis tryouts the cafeteria today at 3 – 4:30 PM. Come join us!
3. Are you in the mood to enjoy some festive music? The music program has prepared performances at Lansdowne, Steveston, Aberdeen, and Burnett over the next few weeks. Come visit the band room at D195 for more details! 
4. JNB ARC is hosting a Towel and Blanket Drive! Please bring your unused towels and blankets to earn points for your Block A class! This not-for-profit event aims to provide necessary warmth to rescued and stray animals. Donations will be accepted until December 20th, and the winner will be announced on the following day. The winning class will be awarded a Krispy Kreme donut party!
5. Hoops for hope, a basketball shootout will be happening on Dec 20^th at lunch in the wave cave. Don’t forget to sign up! Links are posted on our instagram @jnbhoopsforhope and around the school. Bring your friends and see you there!
6. Zenkura will be selling secret Santa boxes starting today, under the main stairs at lunch! We promise that the boxes are nice not naughty. Get it for someone special or treat yourself! The boxes will contain some treats, charms, and tickers of your favourite teachers! Time to get into the holiday spirit!
7. Attention all ski and snowboard club members - If you have not yet completed both online forms AND paid on School Cash online, you need to see Ms. Meralli in her classroom D122 as soon as possible! Many students are still missing forms and payments for the trip. Please see Ms. Meralli ASAP as spots are limited. Thank you!
8. Today's bonus was Toothpaste Tuesday!! We hope you brought in some hygiene products for Today was our biggest bonus yet - TRIPLE POINTS THURSDAY! Did you triple your team's standings? We hope you did because as of now we have Ms. Meralli in first place!! They definitely took advantage of the bonus! The Canned Food Drive isn't over just yet!! We have our very last bonus tomorrow to confirm if Ms. Meralli is truly the winner! Who knows, Ms. Hue or Ms. Lam might climb back up! Friday's final bonus is Can-Tribute Friday. This means all canned goods will be DOUBLED for Friday!!
