1. Attention Mathletes! If you signed up to participate in writing the COMC math contest, please go to SchoolCashOnline to pay your fees by the end of this week. Students who do not pay their fees will not be registered for the upcoming contest.
2. Hello Burnett, if you are a grade 10, 11 or 12 student, and would like to be a one-on-one peer tutor to other students at school outside of class time, please attend the mandatory training that will be held on Oct. 10th, during BLT in the library computer lab. Part 2 of the training will be on Thursday Oct. 12th^th during BLT as well at the library computer lab. This second meeting has been changed from lunch to BLT. The entire training is held only once a semester! Please see Ms. Chen in counselling for any inquiries!

7. WHOOSE THE BEST IN THE LEAGUE?!? THE JR BOYS VBALL TEAM IS! WHICH TEAM HAD A SHOWSTOPING HOMEOWNER GAME? THE JR BOYS VBALL TEAM DID!! GUESS WHICH TEAM WON AGAINST MCMATH? THE JR BOYS VBALL TEAM!! The jr boys volleyball team won 3-0! MVP of the game was Josh limtong! Come by the wave cave on Oct 12 to watch us beat MacNeil!!! Good job breaking barriers breakers! 
8. S-P-I-R-I-T WHAT DOES THAT SPELL?! SPIRIT!!! The first ever spirit week is coming up for the grade eights! Check the posters around the school and tv monitors to be informed of the upcoming themed days! The themes are:  Monochrome Tues, Crocs vs sandals Wednesday, Grad hoodie Thursday, and finally Pajamas day Friday! Don't forget to dress up and follow @ JNB Gr. 8s on instagram so you don't miss a spirit week!
9. The boys soccer team had a tough game against McMath on Thursday. The mvp of the game was Cyrus who scored the goal for the team. The boys next game is on Tuesday against Hugh Boyd. Good luck breakers!
