BREAKERS DAILY NEWS         

  1. Any grade 10, 11, 12 students interested in becoming a one-on-one tutor, please join the mandatory meeting during BLT on Oct. 24th and 26th in the library computer lab! You will learn to provide a valuable service to your fellow students AND earn service hours! Please see Ms. Chen if you have any questions!
  2. Grads of 2024!! If you have not purchased your grad hoodie yet, make sure you do so on SchoolCashOnline! All orders must be submitted by midnight this Sunday!
  3. The JNB Aspire club is selling cream puffs from The Little Fox Bakehouse today! This sale will be in front of Mr. Harrison's room afterschool. The flavours available are Matcha, Mango and Milk tea and the price will be $4.50 each!

  5. Yesterday, the grade 8 girls volleyball team battled hard and beat Macneill! They won the first set but lost the second. However, they fought back in the 3rd set, winning 25 to 17. The MVP for this match was Sonam Aulakh for her incredible hits, serves, and saves!
  6. Congrats to our cross-country athletes that competed yesterday in the Richmond Championships. Good job to Dila for coming in fourth and Sonia right after at 5th. For our boys, shout-out to Liam for coming in 8th and great work from Rohan and Allen. ALL cross-country athletes please meet up at Mr. Harrison’s room during lunch today. Go breakers!
  7. Our senior girls’ volleyball team played an extremely close home game yesterday, losing 2 sets to 3 against Steveston London. Special shout out to our MVP, Hailey Law for her incredibly powerful hits, helping us pull the game close.
  8. Watch me dance, dance the night away!! If you are in gr 8/9 and identified as female, come dance with us at Thompson Community Centre G.O (girls only) day! There will be a barbie soundtrack fitness class, Zumba, volleyball and more! All for free! Contact Abigail Seetoh for more information.
  9. It was a close game for the Jr boys volleyball team on tuesday, The boys played against Richmond Christian scoring 2-3. the boys play their last game on Tuesday oct 24 against SLSS at the wave cave. Come and show some support!
  10. Score transcriptions are ready for concert band to pick up at the office.
  11. For all students of Grade 8 thru 10 interested in science, the JNB science club will be participating in the KPU science challenge on Nov 18th. Events covered will be Design, geology, jeopardy, Math and Physics. If you are interested, contact one of our executives. Our discord link can be found in our instagram page @ jnbscienceclub.
  12. It’s Halloween Spirit Week next week! Stuco will be going around giving out chances to win prizes for all those who dress up. Dress sporty on Monday. Check out their instagram page @jnbstuco for more details.
