Hello Burnett Community,
As you may have received an email from our Superintendent of Schools, Mr. Scott Robinson, schools will be closed tomorrow due to the extreme heat. As noted by the email, our buildings do not have air conditioning and the temperatures inside the building may very well be the same as those outside. The closure of the school is done so in the interest of the health and safety of our students. All students are expected to stay home tomorrow.
You may find Mr. Robinson's email attached to this post.
Any event or learning opportunity that has been planned for Monday will be rescheduled. Please email your teacher to arrange a date and time to reschedule a planned learning opportunity. This includes the planned pickup of scholarships and awards for Grade 12s. This will now occur on Tuesday between 11:40-12:30.
This has truly been an unprecedented year and we thank the community for their support of the school as we continue to navigate through these situations. We hope you are able to stay cool, stay hydrated, and stay safe.
Mr. Doug Ratzlaff, Mrs. Lynette Collins, Mr. Lester Leung
