1. To all grade 10 and 11 students, are you interested in a career in Health Care?  You and your parents are invited to join the virtual SD38 Career Programs info session on Zoom today from 6:30-7:15pm.  VCC will be at the session to speak about two programs being offered:  Medical Lab Assistant and Health Care Assistant.  Your parents were recently emailed the Zoom link and password.  It's also on the slat board near the counselling area.  Come and hear about how to start one of these tuition-free programs while in your last year of high school.  
2. Attention Grade 12 students, UBC application deadline has been extended to January 31st. Please visit the UBC website for details.
3. To all Grade 10, 11 and 12 students, are you interested in learning more about the field of policing and emergency services? If so, apply now to attend the Richmond RCMP Youth Academy.  At this academy, you will engage in simulated activities, role-plays and learn about policing tactics.  Applications are available on the Career Programs website and with Ms. Carter in the Counselling Centre.  These are due Tuesday, January 30th to the RCMP detachment.
4. Our New Year Arts Festival will be tomorrow, from 4-6pm. Come and experience this amazing event that celebrates art, music and drama at Burnett!
5. Join us for our Winter Concert today from 6:30 to 9:00 PM, featuring captivating performances by the JN Burnett junior band and students from our feeder elementary schools! Bring your friends and families! We encourage you to come early and purchase onsite music items. See you tonight!
