BREAKERS DAILY NEWS          

  1. Attention all students! If you have not ordered your yearbook yet, make sure to order on school cash online for the lowest price. This is the last week before the price increases!
  2. Attention Breakers! Anyone registered to attend the Europe Trip in March 2024, please scan the QR code to complete important participant information THIS WEEK! QR codes are located outside of Ms. Russell’s classroom D115 and Mr. Giesbrecht’s classroom D119. 
  3. Today was the Student-Teacher Swap for Stuco's December Spirit Week! Teachers, we hope you had some fun dressing up as students and same for you students! Tag us in your stories @jnbstuco! Tomorrow's theme is Why's This in My Closet! It's exactly as it sounds - wear an odd piece of clothing from your wardrobe!  Grade wars are happening this Friday at the Winter Holiday Festival!   4. The bantam boys played against Richmond High last night, winning 53 to 25. The Player of the game was Alex Ma, scoring 19 points and 6 rebounds. Great work boys.
  5. Hoops for hope, a basketball shootout will be happening tomorrow at lunch in the wave cave. Don’t forget to sign up! Links are posted on our instagram @jnbhoopsforhope and around the school. Bring your friends and see you there!
  6. Happy Holidays! Zenkura is still selling Grinch boxes! The boxes will contain some treats, charms, and stickers of your favourite teachers! You can buy them near the main stairs at lunch until tomorrow. You can also order online at Zenkura’s Instagram page.
  7. JNB ARC is hosting a Towel and Blanket Drive! Please bring your unused towels and blankets to earn points for your Block A class! This not-for-profit event aims to provide necessary warmth to rescued and stray animals. Tomorrow is the last day! The winning class will be awarded a Krispy Kreme donut party!
  8. The deadline for candy grams has been extended! Today is the LAST DAY. Make sure ALL your candy grams notes are submitted to the designated boxes at lunch in front of the cafeteria by the end of the lunch period. Candy grams will be handed out on Thursday during b Blk.
  9. Are you interested in supporting a good cause and enjoying a cheap snack? JNB cancer association is having a cookie fundraiser from Wednesday to Thursday in front of the cafeteria during lunch. Be sure to come!
  10. Concert and Jazz band members: remember that you are required to attend from 3:30 pm to concert cleanup today.
  11. Attention Senior concert band, there are no short rehearsals until Jan 15th.
  12. Table tennis tryouts will continue this Wednesday and Thursday afterschool in the cafeteria.
  13. Tonight from 7 to 9 in the large gym, the music program will have a performance here at Burnett. We'll be featuring St. Peters college from Australia. we hope to see you there!
