BREAKERS DAILY NEWS        

1. The library monitor training for new monitors has been rescheduled for Monday, October 16^th at 3:05pm in the library.  Please see Mrs. Riter if you can't make that time. 
2. G.O, G.O, G.O! G.O day is coming up on Oct 20! G.O stands girls only. TCC is inviting female-identifying Gr 7-9 youth, who are interested in participating in activities that are part of a healthy, active lifestyle! Suitable for all fitness and ability levels. G.O. Day welcomes all self-identified girls, cisgender and transgender, as well as Two-Spirit and non-binary people. It is a free event that only requires registration. For more information, please contact Abigail Seetoh or Thompson community center. 
3. Congratulations to the grade 8 girls volleyball team! They played a very tough game on Wednesday against McMath. Fortunately, the grade 8 girls managed to win the game with a final score of 2-1. The MVP for the game is Ina Lam. She had excellent passes and very powerful serves! Well done!
4. They shoot.... and they SCORED!!!!! The Burnett boys soccer team won 8-2 against Richmond High yesterday! The MVPs were our goalie Jamie with 17 excellent saves and Diego for pushing the hardest in both halves. See you on Monday at the Gateway field for our next game!
5. Guess which team dominated the court last night?! If you guessed the jr boys vball team, you are right! The boys won against McNeil in yesterday game with the score being 3-0. MVP of the game was William Zhang. The next game is against RCS on Tuesday Oct 17. Good job players!

7. Hey Breakers! JNB Cancer Association’s sugar cookie fundraiser is happening AGAIN today, due to the overwhelming success of yesterday’s sale. Come swing by during Lunch TODAY outside the cafeteria to purchase a cookie for $1 each. See you there!
