Sept 28, 2023 Daily Announcement

BREAKERS DAILY NEWS

  1. All this week we will be sharing ways in which our school community can take meaningful action towards Reconciliation. We ask that you please be mindful, open and reflect throughout the week about a commitment you can make. On Friday, please wear an Orange Shirt to school for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.  One action you can take today is… Recall that First Nations people were forced to choose between maintaining their Status under the Indian Act and going to university or serving in the armed forces, and women lost their status by marrying a non-Indigenous person.
  2. Yesterday, the grade 8 girls volleyball team had a super close game against McRoberts. They won the 2nd set and only lost by 4 points in the last one! The MVP was Maggie Pi for her impressive aces and digs!
