BREAKERS DAILY NEWS

Good morning, Burnett Breakers!  Here are your announcements:

  2. The Junior Ultimate team played in the Semifinals of the RSSAA playoffs yesterday, winning a close game 8-7 against MacNeill. Highlights of the game include Thomas Wang with 6 assists, the male MVP Ethan Lau with 5 goals, and female MVP Delfia Tingala with 6 blocks. Congrats on making it to the finals Breakers!
  3. Attention Bantam Badminton: Wednesday will be a practice, not a game.  See you in the Wave Cave!
  4. Attention all students for this important information: Summer Learning Registration has started! Visit our website for detailed information!
  5. Our Mental Health Awareness Week theme for today is “Stressors and Stigma.” Stigma is a negative attitude or belief based on a misunderstanding or fear. Even though we all have mental health struggles from time to time, stigma is the number one reason people don’t seek help for mental health issues. Saying things like “She needs to just get over it” or “he does it for attention” are examples of perpetuating stigma. What could you do to help break the stigma?

We have set up various stations in the library including Legos, puzzles, fidget toys, and many more. If you are looking to destress, recharge or decompress, come to the library to check out the cool activities during lunch!

  1. Hey breakers! Stuco elections are back! If you are interested in running for an executive position, applications are due this Sunday, May 7th. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Lim or Mr. Gupta.
  2. JNB Stuco and the voice is presenting this year’s annual Breaker Idol! Auditions for singles will be held on today and doubles on Thursday. More information is posted on our Instagram @jnbstuco.

Have a great day Breakers!
