Good morning, Burnett Breakers!  Here are your announcements:

  1. Give me a P! Give me an E! Give me another P! What does that spell?... pep! Breakers, we will have a pep rally next Friday, on conference day. It will be a celebration of this school year and Breaker spirit, and each grade will have an assigned colour to wear. Check @jnbstuco on Instagram to keep an eye out for the spirit week leading up to the pep rally!
  2. Attention all Burnett students! It’s youth mental week. Join us on May 3rd during lunchtime for an important Mental Health Day event, in partnership with local community organizations. Come learn about mental health resources and enter to win prizes outside of the cafeteria. Let's come together to promote positive mental health and support each other as a community. Looking forward to seeing you.
  3. Applications for Kwantlen's Dual Credit Programs are now available. For students currently in grade 11, Link38 applications are DUE MAY 23rd. For students currently in grade 10 or 11, Strive applications are DUE MAY 8th. Come check the information posted outside the counselling centre and pop in if you have questions.  
  4. JNB Stuco and the voice is presenting this year’s annual Breaker Idol! Auditions for singles and doubles will be held on Wednesday May 3rd and Thursday May 4th. More information will be posted on our Instagram @jnbstuco.
  5. Hey ARC members, we will be having our meeting at Friday lunch in Ms. Galan’s room (A110A), see you there!
  6. Everyone is invited to the Burnett Gala Music Monday concert next Monday, May 1st from 6:30 - 8:30pm in the basketball courts. Come and celebrate the impact of music in all our lives. Admission is free. Bring your friends and family!
  7. We are very excited to announce that our big Spring Production is here! Almost, Maine by John Cariani – this beautiful show features 9 scenes about love, loss and connection, with a sprinkling of magical realism, and set in the remote (and fictional) town of Almost, Maine. The show will run for three nights, May 10-12. Tickets can be purchased by cash at the door. We hope that you will come out to support our school for this fantastic production.
