BREAKERS DAILY NEWS

Good morning, Burnett Breakers!  Here are your announcements:

1. Congratulations to our Breaker Robotics Team! Last week we were at Victoria for Canadian Pacific FIRST Robotic Competition. With our alliance we placed 3rd in the competition!!! The teams put their blood, sweat and tears during the competition and worked well together! Well done!
2. Attention students in Grades 10-12 who are interested in the law and/or policing.  There is a one-day RCMP Youth Day event coming up that will be filled with interesting activities related to the work of the RCMP.  Applications are due by April 5th, 2023.  Please see you counsellors or career information advisor in the Counselling Centre for more information.
3. Congratulations to the science club for receiving 5^th place in the 45^thUBC Physics Olympics, including a Gold medal finish in Fermi questions, in a field of 63 teams! Excellent work!
4. Are you interested in playing tennis? Boys tryouts are today after school at the Burnett courts, and the girls tryout on Thursday after school. We look forward to seeing you on the courts!
5. All students interested in writing the Euclid math contest, please sign up in Ms. Haave’s Room D205.
6. Are you passionate about art, writing or photography? If so, join JNB literacy magazine’s executive team! Sign up to be an editor, graphic designer or social media manager to collaborate with like-minded, creative individuals! The deadline to fill out the application form is Friday, Mar 10. 7. Attention all students! If you have lost an item, please check the lost and found bin outside the gym. We have collected a variety of items there. Please claim it before spring break. Thank you.
8. Calling all actors! Theatre Company Info Session is coming up! Join Ms. McNee Today at lunch in the theatre to learn all about the course of Theatre Company for next year!
